The latest spy shots of the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike reveal that the bike may come in two variants, one is likely to be a retro-roadster and the other seems to be more off-road themed.

Bajaj is set to launch India's first mass-produced CNG bike on June 18. It will also be Bajaj’s first CNG bike and is expected to offer significantly lower running costs compared to a petrol-powered motorcycle. Wondering what the Bajaj CNG Bike will be called? The upcoming CNG bike from Bajaj is expected to offer a similar performance as a 110cc petrol-powered bike. But it will likely be known more for its efficiency. While mileage figures are yet to be disclosed, according to Rajiv Bajaj, CEO of Bajaj Auto, the bike is expected to reduce running costs by half compared to a petrol-powered bike, which is indeed promising.

Earlier the Bajaj CNG bike has been spotted testing, giving us a sneak peek of its engine and bodywork, along with a spacious single-piece seat. The bike appears to have bulky bodywork and a long flat seat that accommodates the long CNG cylinder underneath. The fuel tank has a big flap that you can open to reach the inlet valve of the CNG cylinder. The bike will also have a small petrol tank for emergency use/limp home function.

The spied CNG bike also features a digital display and a blue button on the left-hand side switchgear, likely used to switch fuel modes manually. It includes a braced handlebar with knuckle guards, an only toe gear shifter, mid-set footpegs, and offers a relaxed riding position. The bike is equipped with a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. For braking, the bike has a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. It also boasts an upswept exhaust, a crash guard at the front, a saree guard and a large tyre hugger.

The Bajaj CNG bike is expected to be priced at around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom) when it launches on June 18. As India’s first CNG bike, it will be unique in the market and will not have any direct rivals. However, it will compete with other fuel-efficient bikes in the 100-110cc category, such as the Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon, Honda Shine 100, and Bajaj Platina 110.

Aside from this model, Rajiv Bajaj has also mentioned that the brand is developing multiple other CNG bikes, including a slightly more premium offering with additional features.
